My
original idea was set in or near a forest, above are some images of the places
that inspired me to want to set it in a forest. However through target audience
feedback, many people said having it set in a forest was a good idea however it
had been done before. Horror movies set in a forest could be said to be a
convention, however I decided I wanted to challenge this convention and allow
the audience to be exposed to more things and hopefully it will be as
effective. I am still going to incorporate some trees or nature into my
trailer, as once the trees lose their leaves, they become skeleton like and
could definitely add tension to a scene or assist in foreshadowing death and
destruction.
